You may not normally think ahead to next week or next month never mind next year but Le Tournoi and EFTC have something special planned for 21st December 2012 and we are hoping you will share it with us!

Maya

Peru has the Inca and Guatemala has the Maya. For years Tikal has been the Mayan ruin to visit in Guatemala, the Guatemalan equivalent of Machu Picchu, but there is a new, up and coming contender to its crown – El Mirador.

El Mirador

El Mirador, a Maya superpower, rose to prominence centuries before Tikal and has the Danta pyramid – at 72m tall, it’s the tallest structure the Maya ever built and, in volume, the world’s largest pyramid! Access to El Mirador is only possible via helicopter, horse or foot. We can’t make it too easy for you so grab those walking boots!

Why 21st December 2012?

The Mayan Calendar abruptly ends on 21st December 2012 and has sparked rumours that this is a prediction for the end of the world. While we don’t quite believe the rumours it’s a fantastic opportunity for the challenge of a lifetime in the heart of the action…

Welcome to the End of the World Challenge!

• A gruelling 5 day jungle trek to the heart of the Maya superpower
• A minimum of 10 days in glorious Guatemalan sunshine, away from the wintry UK
• Raising funds for deserving children in need of an education
• Joining in the Christmas spirit by handing out hampers to the children and their families so no one goes hungry at Christmas
• Flying home just in time for Christmas with your loved ones having well and truly earned your Christmas Dinner!

If this sounds right up your street and you would like to know more please drop me an email or call on 07797 758338. I’ll be there – we'll hope you are too!
