2013 Sailing Challenge

sailing-group-shot.jpgThe Le Tournoi Sailing Challenge is an exciting opportunity for people to experience the thrill of ocean racing in an action-packed four day event that includes an overnight crossing of the English Channel, tactical battles around the beautiful islands of Guernsey and a dash for the finish line in Jersey.

The event features single-class racing yachts operated by our partner Britannia Events making sure the competition is down to the skill of the crew. There is also an open class allowing owners to enter their own yachts, all to raise funds for the charities Le Tournoi supports.

There are plenty of social activities to enable participants to relax and make new friends while telling their tall tales of terror and triumph.

2013 will be our fourth Sailing Challenge and we are delighted with the response so far. This time, our route takes us from the Solent to Guernsey and Jersey. The Challenge is not just about sailing but to enjoy fantastic hospitality in each port of call. There really is no better way of strengthening your teams, developing your leaders and taking part in an event which is as unique as it is fun. We strive to design the Challenge to include a wide variety of sailing, from bay racing to a night crossing of the English Channel and they all count towards the overall standings.

We have partnered with one of the most prestigious corporate yachting entities in the UK. With Britannia Corporate Events, we can guarantee the very best in yachts and race organisation and management. We have assembled a truly formidable team which demonstrates our commitment to quality, safety, and the provision of one of the most novel and exciting sailing events in the calendar. All competitors will be racing on Beneteau 40.7s, one of the most popular and successful yachts ever built.
