World Cup Legends Dinner, Radisson Blu Waterfront Hotel Saturday 22nd May 2010
To mark our tenth birthday we approached some very close friends in the PFA to see what they may be able to do for us. We never imagined that we'd end up welcoming Carlos Alberto, Ozzie Ardiles and Kenny Sanson to the island to be guests of honour at our official birthday party.

The dinner coincided with the first ever Saturday UEFA Champions League Final and guests were able to watch the big match live on big screen after dinner. A raffle and auction swelled the Le Tournoi coffers by around £2,000 and guests were able to meet the legends up close to ask questions, pose for photos and sign autographs.
Our thanks go to Investec for sponsoring the evening, Cimandis for donating fantastic auction prizes and Lynne Capie for organising a superb fundraising birthday party to remember.

The evening started with the legends signing hundreds of balls, shirst and boots to ensure that every guest left with at least one item of memorabilia to add to their collection.

European Freestyle Champion Noel Battle got the evening of to a great start with an incredible display of close control and tricks in front of the legends on a stage where swinging the proverbial cat would have been a challenge in itself
Noel had been recommended by Le Tournoi's close friend Colin Nell and he certainly lived up to the standard set by Colin in the last two years
Thanks too to Noel for also spending so much time at Les Quennevais on both days, demonstrating his talents to the hundreds of kids taking part in the Soccer Challenge, and hosting a private coaching session for members of the St Pauls Learning Difficulties Soccer Squad
